BCGV Proud to be Accepted by AWAB

After our BCGV congregation voted in January to become a Welcoming and Affirming Church, we applied for membership in the Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists, known as AWAB for short. AWAB’s mission is to create and support a community of churches, organizations, and individuals committed to the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons in the full life and mission of Baptist churches.

We were recently notified that our membership application has been accepted. In addition, this good news was announced in the May AWAB newsletter, Welcoming Spirit, and on AWAB’s Facebook page.
